Most of the letters received are from the following Prefects of New Mexico counties: Francisco Sarranco (Bernalillo), Francisco Sandoval (Santa Ana), Manuel Antonio Baca (San Miguel), Salvador Lucero (Rio Arriba), and Vicente Martinez (Taos).
